Three new (virtual events) coming soon! (and a new book)

I hope you’re all staying safe and healthy during these difficult times. The world continues to be a challenging and uncertain place, in ways that seem to shift from week to week.

I do have a little good news to share about upcoming events that might bring a little fun or light to your lives:

On September 20, at 7pm, Theatre Three in Port Jefferson, NY, will stream a production of my holiday comedy, Ms. Claus. It’s a fun piece and one that’s well-suited to zoom/video. You can see iy on their YouTube Channel. Theatre Three has previously produced three of my other plays and has always done a fine job.

On Wednesday, September 30th, Mount Auburn Cemetery will host a virtual book launch event for my new bookThe Mount Auburn Plays, a collection of the eleven one-act plays that I wrote for the Cemetery while I was their artist-in-residence from 2018-2019. In addition to the play scripts, the book features great photos from the site-specific productions from last year, as well as thoughts and commentary from the director and actors (and me). Come join us for a discussion about the project and process (and buy a book to support the Cemetery’s artistic programming).  If you can’t make it to the event, but are eager to buy a book, you can purchase one from Mount Auburn here.

And finally, on October 21, the Huntington Theatre Company will release my short audio play, Echoes, as part of their Dream Boston series of audio plays. They’ve commissioned a whole series of audio shorts by Huntington Playwriting Fellows. They’re all a lot of fun and sound great!  They’re releasing a new one every week. I hope you’ll check them all out. (They’re free.)
