Fast start to 2019
I just got back from the National Winter Playwright’s Retreat in Creede, Colorado, where I got a LOT of work done, and also had a lot fun. 2019 is starting off fast. Here’s a summary of some of what’s happening soon:
This year is off to a busy start for me and my work, and I wanted to share the list of upcoming productions–there might be one near you.
Here’s what’s happening:
- Miss Claus, Acme New Works Winter Festival, Maynard, MA, January 12, 18, 20
- Beatrix Potter Must Die!, Little Fish Theatre Pick of the Vine Festival, Jan 10-Feb 3, San Pedro, CA
- The Retriever, Playwrights Round Table, Orlando, FL, January 18-28
- Drift, reading at the Drama League, NYC, February 22, 7pm. (Contact me for more details.)
- Organic Seed, 10×10 Festival, Barrington Stage Company, Pittsfield, MA, Feb 14-March 10
- Beatrix Potter Must Die!, Players Workshop, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, March 13-24
- Santa Doesn’t Live Here Anymore, Sauk Theatre, Jonesville, MI, April 25-28
So if you’re in New York City, Massachusetts, Florida, Michigan, California, or even Mexico, there’s a show coming to your general area soon. The short plays are all in festivals that feature a whole bunch of fun short plays.
Also, a quick reminder that my new middle-grade novel, The Secret of Spirit Lake, is available as a paperback you can order from your local bookstore, from Barnes & Noble, or from Amazon. You can also read it as an ebook on Kindle or many other ebook options, including Nook and Kobo. (If you or your kids have already read it and enjoyed it, I hope you’ll consider posting an online review on Amazon or elsewhere. It makes a big difference.)
I hope those of you in Boston will keep an eye out for my Mount Auburn Cemetery plays, which are coming up in June and September. It’s going to be a really cool project.
